Sunday Blessing

This morning at church we heard a wonderful message on How to make an Impact through Persecution. He used Acts 8, when Philip was told to go see the Eunuch and Eunuch receive Christ through Philip's witnessing. The Pastor used an acronym with the word IMPACT for a witnessing tool: I - initiating the conversation; it is up to us to approach someone about Christ
M - ministering; we are the ones serving others by telling them about Christ
P - personalize; we must personalize the message and the situation depending on the person A - acknowledge; we must acknowledge who Christ is
C - challenge; we must present them with a challenge and not "easy believe ism" T - trust; after we do our part in obedience to God to witness to them we must then trust the Power of the Word of God that He will bring the increase. The power is not in the vessel that holds the oil but the oil itself (the Holy Spirit)!
How many times do we not witness to some one because we are afraid of what they might say; or we wait to see if someone speaks to us first to "break the ice". We learned today we are the ones with the message and they are the ones that NEED to hear - we must be in control of the conversation and approach them!
